Born 1869. Died 1940 - English statesman, signed 1938 Munich Agreement.


Educated at Birmingham University. Became Conservative MP in1918, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Minister for Health and in 1937 Prime Minster. Followed policy of appeasement leading up to WWII and signed Munich agreement claiming “peace in our time”. Replaced as PM by Churchill in 1940, died six months later.
