Trevor Griffiths
Born on 4th of April 1935
After a brief career as a teacher Griffiths, who was educated at Manchester University, became a political journalist and then a playwright. His plays have frequently dealt with political questions within political settings, the most celebrated perhaps his piece The Party, in which Olivier played his last stage role, though Comedians runs it close. Griffiths has also written for films and TV
