Graduated from Durham University with a degree in history. Appeared on Opportunity Knocks in 1974 coming second. Appeared in a number of musicals including Godspell, Grease and Oh, Mr Porter! Best known for her role of chalet maid Peggy Ollernshaw in Hi-de-Hi! Also starred as Ivy Teasdale in the sitcom You Rang, M'Lord?
