Died on 24th of August 1833

Born 1768. Died 1833 - English botanist and entomologist.

Trained as a solicitor but left the profession to study botany, entomology and ornithology. Founded the Aurelian Society in 1802 and helped to found the Entomological Society of London. Was an authority on succulent plants.
