Edward Milne

Born on 14th of February 1896
Died on 21st of September 1950

Milne was a brilliant Cambridge-educated mathematician whose main contributions to knowledge came in the field of astrophysics, of particular note his counter theory to Einsteinís General Relativity theory. He held professorships at Manchester and Oxford universities, was for a time President of the Royal Astronomical Society, and during both WWI and WWII worked in the field of ballistics.
