Born 1937 - English dramatist, actor & director.
Studied drama and mime in London and Paris. In 1968 formed the London Theatre Group. His original stage plays include Greek (1979), West (1983), Messiah: Scenes from a Crucifixion, The Secret Love Life of Ophelia, Decadence (1981), Harry's Christmas and Brighton Beach Scumbags. Has acted in a number of films including A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Octopussy, Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo, Under the Cherry Moon, Absolute Beginners and The Krays. Has published a variety of books on the theatre.
