Educated at University College of North Wales, Bangor. Ordained as priest in 1937. Published Song at the Year’s Turning (1955), became known outside Wales. Later volumes included Poetry for Supper (1958), Laboratories of the Spirit (1976) and No Truce with the Furies (1995).
