Walbury Hill, Berkshire

At 297 meters above sea level, Walbury Hill is the highest point in the county of Berkshire. Walbury Hill is also thought to be the highest chalk hill in England. Standing 10 meters higher than Leith Hill in Surrey , Walbury Hill is actually the highest hill in all of south east England. There is an iron age hill fort located at the top of the hill called Walbury Camp. The ancient fort’s remains cover almost 82 acres. Overlooking the picturesque valley of the River Kennet , the hill is a very popular place with walkers, climbers and even paragliders.
