We stayed at this campsite for 2 nights. Unfortunately we did not realise that there was racing at York that weekend. We arrived on the Thursday eveing and it was a pleasant site with a really nice facitlites block. It is not quiet due to the proximity of the ring road, so there is constant traffic noice. Our second night was horrific. A party was allowed to go on into the early hours. There were far too many caravans parked too close and more than one on a pitch. Surely a fire hazzard. A brawl broke out due to people being unhappy with the noise levels and the police were called. I was amazed that the people running this site did not stop the party at a reasonable hour which would have prevented this distressing incident from happening. I would recommend avoiding this site whenever there is racing, it clearly attracts the most inconsiderate of campers.
