This year we had the Halle Orchestra (no less)with top class soloists Alfie Boe and Natasha Marsh. The programme and performances were superb. The weather was kind to us, with a huge crowd, great picnicking and atmosphere. Slight minus points go to the somewhat flaky amplification with the occasional "explosive" interference, poor camerawork at times, and the irritating warm-up by Jon Hammond. Do we really need the "hand can-can" twice in an evening? Nevertheless, a good time was had by all. Here's to next year!
