having been a patron for some time i can easily get fed up , but not of this fine quality food & service , its what all places should be , the special of pressed tongue with piccalilli was excellent , superb wine washed down the exemplary beef wellington only to be bettered by the banana caramel tartlet with banana ice cream , excellent!!!

What a charming village pub! The atmosphere, decor and service were all wonderful! I didn't think pubs of such unspoiled charm and character still existed. The food was absolutely excellent; I am vegetarian and so often the vegetarian items on a menu are disappointing but not so at the Ibex! The linguine with mushrooms in a cream and chive sauce was honestly one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted - and that includes pasta I've eaten in Italy! I'm looking forward to a repeat visit!!

The Ibex,is a Beautifully situated country pub,set in the village of Chaddleworth,7 miles from ,Newbury,Wantage and Hungerford Equally. A contemporary Restaurant overlooks the large gardens, the menu and wine list are both extensive ,quality and well priced. On this day my friend had the seared scallops, whilst i enjoyed the pea&herb risotto, both exceptional, fresh rolls, jugs of iced water and a petit chablis of true quality. Main course was the open beef wellington,a play on the classic, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly, side orders of fresh vegetables, potatoes or side salad, all included made you feel like you got great value .
