Recommended by Brian & Ann Turner at White House World, Popes Hill, near Cinderford, my wife and I booked a table. The food was superb - I had Gloucester Old Spot sausages, my wife loin of pork. Everything was freshly cooked, and the food was locally sourced. Friendly, unfussy service, and very reasonable prices, no more expensive than average pub/restaurant prices for infinitely better quality food. The evening we were there, there was a very accomplished accoustic duo playing early blues, country and jug songs; Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Sonny Terry & Brownie Magee. Only drawback was we had to leave! Highly recommend this place.

It was a gorgeously sunny summers day when we visited the Red Hart and we sat in the small but pleasant garden for lunch. Four of us for Sunday lunch and the food and service was superb. Best pub food in the area.

Not only is the food magnificent at the Red Hart inn, the welcoming atmosphere is lovely.
I was especially impressed that each table has a sheet of paper listing all the people who help make this such a special place. And the brownies aren't to be missed!
