Went for a drink there as new that it is a lovely pub. Can honestly say that I would never go there again. Landlord was rude and carried on spraying the hops with hairspray right above our heads whilst we were waiting to be served.
No taking anything away from the pub itself but don't expect to be warmly welcomed by any strecth of the mile.

The landlord is very eccentric, the pub is beautiful and is like a time capsule from the past. the service was fantastic. the barman Ray was absolutely gorgeous and I am happy to say we are getting married next year.

What a delightful looking pub. I couldn't say the same for the landlord who was distinctly unfriendly when I came in. There was only one other person at the bar.
The food was served by a very friendly person and nothing was too much trouble. Food was ok.
First impressions are very important if you want your customers to return.
I hope you find the comments helpful.
