We drove 68 miles to meet up with family for lunch at your pub. Thank you for a warm welcome, friendly staff and excellent food. It was a most enjoyable experience.

Lunchtime. Nice day.
Sat outside. No other diners so far as we could see. After fairly lenthy wait we were informed one meal incorrectly done so there would be a delay. 2nd meal eventually arrived, fish uncooked so I returned it to kitchen and was told a new fish would be cooked. Returned to garden; some time later, waiter appeared to reiterate a fresh piece of fish would be cooked! By this time the first meal which had been redone, apparently due to mistake by kitchen hence delay, appeared. Nachos with chilli looked totally unappetising, cheese over top of nachos lumpy and uncoloured and semi-melted and blob of lumpy! sour cream.... of course nachos below chilli soggy.
After 55 minutes, one meal still not having been delivered to table we were running out of time and couldn't wait any longer. Paid over £14 for gin and orange and 1/2 bitter shandy, one lunch never having arrived, chilli hardly touched. Left unfed with day ruined.
Real shame as pub in a beautiful setting
but our day spoilt.
