I don't believe that I have ever had a nicer meal. We visited on the Saturday, had a lovely dinner, and returned on Easter Sunday with thirteen other people. The service there was great, friendly staff, (the two waitresses that served us were very polite and even kept us amused. My mate Andy definately liked them...) relaxing music, and a gorgeous meal. I've never seen a prawn cocktail with so many prawns, or garlic mushrooms so well presented (and tasty). This is definately THE best Hotel/Restaurant in Dumfries, and I would definately return with more friends.
