Excellent lunch, this menu hasnt changed in over 30 years.......long may it continue (mon-Fri lunch) Traditional cold cuts buffet with wonderful onion pie, scotch eggs and salads with rare beef and home cooked ham.Truly wonderful in 13th century coaching Inn. Food at night and weekends different but have not tried so cannot comment.

must have changed hands, understood this was state od the art food, sat opp the fire nice but next to fire was door to kitchen open and heard loudly every order and bit of kitchen conversation..my salmon and prawns were ok good size portion but no lemon served. slow roast lamb very nice veg plated up on side, not in sep dish these were cold, asked for them to be heated, microwaved no doubt.not offerd any mint sauce had to ask for this, like the lemon. bread handed nicely from basket but 2nd day old bread fell apart in crumbs.will not go back for food, but will call in for drinks half way through my walk
