Good Points: Staff were very nice efficient and helpful everything was clean Bad Points: The hotel smelled a bit stale- there was wallpaper hanging off one wall on staircase. The steak sandwich on bar menu was rubbish! Would have been nice to have an alternative to full english breakfast Stairs up to second floor are difficult to get suitcases up General review: I don't think it was particularly good value for money

When arriving I asked if I could book a taxi for the morning and was told that i would be fine to book one in the morning. This would not have been the case and luckily by ignoring there judgement i booked a taxi that evening after trying four different numbers. I also booked a double room and ended up with a single. There was no alarm clock in the room so I asked if I could have a wake up call, which I did not get the next morning. A tile fell off the shower wall, one of the plug sockets was broken, the kettle lead was not long enough to reach any of the sockets from the table, and to be honest this was the worst hotel experience I have ever experienced. I would have expected this service if I was paying £10 a night but at over £60 this was simply not good enough and i will tell anyone who listens to avoid this place in the future.

The hotel has stopped serving pots of tea for breakfast. Instead they provide a flask of hot, not boiling, water and teabags. When I complained that this was not good service for the price charged, the young waitress shouted at me that it was perfectly adequate. The manageress then came and told us we could have a pot of tea after all but they would have to charge us £1.50 for the privilege.....
