Have been to this pub on several occasions, and have found the atmosphere to be very intimidating to non-local Its customer base seems very local and the same each night. The pub is run by a couple and the bar woman is particularly rude. The customers are hostile and unfriendly towards new people. However, prices are reasonable and the food is adequate. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you know someone who goes here already. I have been to many pubs in Basingstoke and this is by far the most unwelcoming I have come across.
