I have been to the Poacher twice since its recent refurbishment, once for lunch and once for Dinner. On both occasions it was exceptional. They offer a broad menu catering for a range of different tastes. The dishes are well presented and clearly made with high quality ingredients. Booking is easy and straighforward and service is excellent. The Poacher is more a restaurant than a pub these days, but the changes they have made have been well worth it. I would not hesitate to reccomend this place.
