The room was quite pleasant but at 115 pounds a night, one might have expected the toilet to have been cleaned before our arrival and for the toilet seat not to have been broken. I wouldn't recommend this place to non-smokers as it's almost impossible to escape the smog that lingers in the bar. The service from the ream of surly teenagers was quite poor too. In short, I'm sure you can find better value elsewhere in Wells.

We were lucky enough to chance upon the Globe while they had a special offer of only 47.50 for the largest room, not sure what the usual price is. The room was beautiful, very modern and comfortable and the food was good too (particularly the delicious eggs benedict for breakfast!!) The perfect base to explore the area, the friendly , helpful staff will give some good ideas of places to visit such as Holkham beach just down the road.
