Hello, I am the owner of The Griffin and feel I must respond to the comments made. We serve in the region of 300 meals per week, all of which are prepared fresh and cooked by the best team of 6 chefs during the 18 years that I,ve had The Giffin. I am extremely proud of what we do,and do accept that from time to time you cant get 100% perfection. ( after all, Manchester United dont win every week). Every client that visits our restaurant are asked if they enjoy there meal, this is their opportunity to make a comment or complaint so we have time to correct the matter. these people who dont have the nerve to say of their disconcern really are not worthy of writing reviews, only to get rid of there frustrations. As regards to service, my waitresses are extremely attentive, largely perhaps due to the fact they earn a lot of money from there gratuities which they keep. however sometimes customers are rude( perhaps because theyve had a row with the wife) and its clear for them not to get to involved with banter with clients and just do what is required, this is experience. There is a bright side of course in the fact that of the many clients per year, only a few have bothered to voice there concerns on this site. We have lots of customers that return time and time again and really enjoy and have total confidence in what we do, as stated earlier 18 years in business in Higham Ferrers we very much rely on repeat trade other wise we would,nt exist.I can tell you unless booking early, you still cant get a table at The Griffin, hopefully tht speaks for itself. Thank You.
