As a Mothers Day treat we had booked a table for three and were looking forward to our Sunday lunch at "Old Glen House". After choosing starters and mains we were shown to our table in the dining room-the other occupants were a table of 8 and a table for 2. Our starters arrived fairly quickly but unfortunately that is where the "quick service" ended. We sat for 45 minutes waiting for chicken and roast pork until in the end we got up and decided to leave. All we wanted to do was pay for our starters and drinks and leave as quickly as possible. We spoke to waitresses who seemed very inexperienced in everything they did.We spoke to a supervisor and the barman re our long wait until the "Chef" barged out of the kitchen shouting that if we wanted "Fast Food" we should have gone to McDonalds !! We did not receive a single apology for our long wait and in the end the "Chef" told us to leave and not come back(As if we ever would !!) The whole experience was a bit like "Fawlty Towers" but not as funny. Future diners be warned.

Another lovely meal at the Old Glen House. Delicious food, fantastic service.... and great value for money. This is one of the best places around and the food is always faultless.

I have just seen the earlier review posted. May I just say to this gentleman, yes, there is a wait for the food to be ready.... this is because it has to be COOKED. This is not 'boil in a bag food' and ready in 12 minutes from a microwave. You can get this sort of food at other outlets no doubt, but not here at The Old Glen House. When I make a meal at home, using fresh food, it generally takes me 30-45 minutes and I expect to wait the same length of time in any good restaurant. Anything brought to me any sooner than this, tells me it is not fresh food ! My experiences have always been a most delicious meal(I have even requested items that are not on the menu and my requests have always been accommodated and this has never been too much trouble for the Chef to do) and a very enjoyable evening - laughing with the Chef who I find to be a very hospitable, warm and honest gentleman. Super place and faultless in my book!

the old glen house has pleasant sorroundings and nice decor in the food area;thats where the good ended, the service was slow to say only 12 people in. the prawn starter was still half frozen and my wifes main course of pork was not cooked properley it was still pink and bloody. one waitress was very pleasant but other was very rude when we asked for dessert we was refused because we mentioned that the pork was not cooked. then the chef was very rude to us all and we was asked to leave all six of us was disgusted and made to feel like free loaders we paid most of the bill and left never to return, and the chef should wonder why a restaraunt only has 12 people in on a saturday night when others are fully booked ? our party of six will never return again what a bad experience.

I spent a wonderful evening at The Old Glen House in Baildon for my birthday yesterday. Fabulous food, great service - just a wonderful evening, truly faultless and a BIG Thank You for the complimentary champagne we received to celebrate the occasion. I would recommend this Pub Restaurant to anyone who enjoys good wine and fine food ... you will not be disappointed. I've had the pleasure of staying in some very nice hotels in the world and 6****** hotels in Dubai and the food here at The Old Glen House in Baildon is, in my opinion, much better than some of those places! I am a fussy person and some would say at times very hard to please for standards... however, this place ticks all the boxes for me and has to be one of the best places to eat in the area. Well done - keep the hard work up! We'll be back again very soon ....

I eat regularly at the old glen, and it has always been wonderful. All the food is homemade fresh to order, none of that frozen rubbish! The staff are friendly and attentive and the decor is tastefull. Well worth a visit!!!
