It seems I'm not the only one who had bad expirience with Fone-A-Car. My colleague and myself have called Fone-A-Car 7.30 pm on Wednesday evening. While ordering the taxi I asked for the time we have to wait approximately. The answer was 5 - 10 minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes I rang again. The answer came back immediately in a very unfriendly tone : the car should be there in a second. No good-bye, he just hung up the phone. We waited another 15 minutes and no car arrived. So I rang again. The guy immediately hung up the phone without any answer. And he did not pick up again as he new my number. I was lost for words. Finally a car arrived after 35 minutes. Is this the way they treat regular customers? It's time to review the service on the phone guys!!! There are other taxi companies which like to do the business.

We used this firm to take us from Rugby to Warwick and that journey was fine; we booked them to take us home at midnight and the driver told us he would be there at 12am and if we thought we might be later, to ring an hour in advance and let him know. We (four females) gathered at our designated pickup point; by 12.15am, when the car had not arrived, I rang them to find out what was happening. The person I spoke to was terse and unhelpful, and told me that they were waiting for us to confirm our taxi with them. I tried to explain that we had been told we only needed to contact them if there was a change of pickup time, but he wasn't interested. He did, however, say that he would send a cab to pick us up immediately and took my number. We waited for almost another hour and no taxi turned up - we tried to ring and they hung up on us when they realised who we were or didn't answer at all. They were dreadful and I am quite disgusted that they feel it is OK to leave four females on their own in a town centre, waiting for a taxi they knew would never arrive. We ended up using a Warwick firm who were very good. This company were dreadful - rude, bad service and dishonest. I would definitely recommend that you use another company.

I have used this particular taxi company many times and will continue to do so. My one "wish" is that they would drastically improve their telephone manner, that they would speak far more clearly and that they would demonstrate a MUCH higher level of simply being polite.
