I have to say that all of the departments in the Worcester store are brilliant except for the Restaurant. I have been into M & S restaurants in a lot of towns and cities in England and without doubt the one in Worceter is the most inefficient one I have been to. The food is very good - when you can get it. I thought the first twice I visited maybe it was just a busy time, but last Thursday lunchtime when I came to Worcester to have lunch with my daughter in her lunch hour it was dreadful. In the end I gave up and had a cup of not too warm capaccino and a sandwich, which, although delicious, was not what we intended to have - for goodness sake buck up!!!

i work at the malvern store, and we have recieved full marks from the malvern council for our cafe. as regards to mess in the cafe, well if you had complained to Paul Denning (who is no longer at our store) about it, he could have reviewed staffing in the cafe and decided that more staff is needed, not go complaining to head office, who would pass it down the line, and would probably get lost before your complaint reaches our store. Its up to you if you want to come back, but we have alot of people who like our store and visit time and time again, and i find your complaints very pathetic. we (the staff) try our best to keep the store tidy and to give the best customer service, and there is a few who have nothing else to do with their lives and will try to find any little thing to complain about. unfortunately that is the way society is nowadays.

This store is just fantastic!! I have been in to the coffee shop and was delighted with the service I recieved from Jamie. This store is a credit to the store manager. I manage a John Lewis/Waitrose store and I should know. the standards are excellent throughout and I did speak to a memeber of the management team to express my joy at finding a good old fashioned M&S. As to the modern design, well I happenned to like it and I know from reviewing local EHO guidelines the store has recieved top marks for standards and service in food preparation areas. All I can say is well done to this fantastic team.

marks and spencers are not doing well financially. having an open roof in the store saves abit of money, and gives it a modern feeling. as regards to the mess in the cafe, did you go and see the store manager, mr paul denning? you've got more chance of something being done about it by seeing him than writing to some one from head office.why do people moaning at everylittle thing nowadays? how sad society is.

I and a friend visited the new store in Malvern and we were absolutly disgusted with the cafe I did write to Sir J Rose head of Marks and Spencers and complained ,and did have a reply from his senior Designer ,of all stores I wrote complaining of the state (chairs and tables ) of the cafe and also its open ceiling and all the dust that must fall on to the customers drinks and food .Have you seen these open ceilings ?? Where does the Health and Safety come in as they are apparently legal to be open to the Roof , do go and have a look.We will not visit again
