I had read some very negative reviews of Macfarlanes Butterfly Centre, one advising people not to waste their time and money, but having seen they had been closed all winter for refurbishment, and reopened in April this year, decided to give it a try as my little Grandaughter was desperate to see the Butterflies. Prior to setting off on a 40 minute journey I phoned Macfarlanes to check the Butterfly farm was open, but could only get a BTanswerphone, which was no help whatever. On arrival at Macfarlanes I realised I should have heeded the negative reviews I'd read! The place was a scene of utter desolation and neglect! We were then told by an ancient crone that the Butterfly Farm was shut, much to our disappointment, particularly my little Grandaughters'.Macfarlanes Webb Site should be closed immediately!Any prospective visitors should beware!
