Good Points: Very friendly and efficient manager & staff, and an excellent dinner. Bad Points: Nothing to dislike, I shall stay there again when in the area. General review: I was aware of what the hotel would be like, as I have used them often in France, and like them. The steak I had for dinner was cooked exactly as I like it, french style. The room was clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast and coffee good.

I stayed at the Campanile for 3 weeks whilst working nearby. It was booked by my employer, and after reading some of the other reviews before i left, i was dreading my stay there. However, when i arrived, i was pleasantly surprised. The staff are french, but have excellent english. The layout is like that of a motel. The rooms have all been refurbished. Each room has a nice modern en-suite bathroom with arguably the most powerful shower i have ever used!! The beds are doubles (not 2 singles pushed together) and are surprisingly comfortable. The sheets and towels are changed every day, along with a thorough room clean which always left the room smelling fresh on my arrival from work. Rooms have a tv with 14 channels and an alarm clock, there is also a T-mobile wi-fi hotspot if you're willing to pay for it. The hotel also gives you a pass which enables you free use of a local health and fitness club (greens) and excellent place to train or relax. Irons and boards are also available on request. The cooked breakfast is tasty and the restaurant meals are very nice, though maybe slightly expensive (approx £9 for your average meal). To summarise, the campanile is by no means the ritz, but at £40 per night, value for money it is second to none. It is far from unpleasant and i would definitely stay there again

Good Points: Convenient/plenty of hot water/comfortable bed/ quiet site/friendly staff Bad Points: Only oranges left at breakfast - no other fresh fruit. Four items off the menu at dinner the night before this is not good enough on a standard menu General Review: repeat of above box. We have stayed in Campaniles before but were not aware that the French menu had been discontinued.
