THE COACH HOUSE: Beautiful Grade II listed Holiday Cottage apartment surrounded by 3 acres of stunning gardens in the Vale of Ffestiniog with a pub close by. Sleeps 3. 'The Coach House' was the origninal stables and coach house of the former Rectory of Ffestiniog which is set in a peaceful and tranquil location in the Vale of Ffestiniog in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. The Rectory was built in 1826 and until 1891 four different Rectors lived there. The property passed to the Oakeley family of Plas Tan y Bwlch and owners of Slate Mines in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1892 and was eventually sold into private ownership in 1962 when the estate was sold due to extensive death duties. The apartment provides a superb base for climbing Snowdon and visiting the many sights and attractions that Snowdonia has to offer. BWTHYN Y GILFACH/GILFACH: Two character Grade II listed Holiday Cottages with original wooden beams & log burners for those cosy nights in! Sleep 3 & 6 people. Built as a farm around the 1750's. The original farm consisted of 1,000 acres and today 50 acres still surround the property. Gilfach was at one time a wood mill. Timber was cut using a water-wheel powered saw and was home to a local Quarry Manager. Cwm Pennant is renowned for its peace and tranquillity and 'Gilfach' & Bwthyn y Gilfach' offer an opportunity to enjoy this beautiful location. The cottages provide a superb base for climbing Snowdon, walking and cycling, bird watching and/or just a quiet place to escape the pace of everyday life. Many sights and attractions of Snowdonia are easily reached within a few miles.
