The White Lion Inn, Llanelian yn Rhos, just outside Colwyn Bay, is a beautiful Olde Worlde Pub with real fires, traditional food, and cask conditioned real ales.

The White Lion is possibly the earliest pub in North Wales with parts of the building reputed to be 1200 years old; part of the existing pub served as a shippon and granary, very apt you might think. The current building still retains its original Welsh slate floor and oak beamed ceiling; a 19th century church pew is utilised as one of the seats for customers.

The pub has featured in the CAMRA Real Ale guide for over 20 years and is also one of only five "Approved" entries in the Good Pub Guide within a twenty mile radius. In addition to our excellent range of beers, we have developed, an extensive Wine list to offer customers the perfect accompaniment to their meal.

We offer a wide selection of foods from sandwiches to beautiful home cooked meals, all with our personal service to make your visit memorable and hopefully one of many.

You know, I go to the theatre to be entertained. I don’t want to see plays about rape, sodomy and drug addiction...I can get all that at home - Peter Cook
