This beautifully designed bar, deli and restaurant on the fringe of the City is something rather special, ideal then for a special occasion. An urban respite, it is completely comfortable with itself. From behind the stunning Paul Smithesque red striped bar good-looking staff serve a decoratively displayed range of wine, beers, spirits and cocktails. The 5-7pm Happy Hour is a particularly good time to sample a memorable Bloody Mary. Away from the bar and available for exclusive hire are two raised seating areas enclosed within striped low walls, fitting 80 people between them. Naturally, a DJ plays disco funk Thursday to Sunday evenings. So when the lights go down at midnight the Trustafarians, creatives and City slickers turn lingering into an art form. Leaving the laidback luxury of Grand Central isn't easy.
