njoying a prime location inside one of the Lake District’s most dramatic valleys, this National Trust campsite is ideal for strollers, hikers and climbers alike. If you think of the Lake District as simply a range of rolling hills and lakes, then you’ve never been to Great Langdale. It is the gateway to such towering peaks as Scafell Pike, Bowfell and White Ghyll, which provide for both a dramatic landscape and a wide range of challenges. Though for those who prefer to ramble than conquer, you will also find Little Langdale and Lingmoor close at hand. It would be hard to think of a more stunning and natural location for a campsite.
