The National Wetland Centre of Wales, one of the world famous Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) centres established by Conservationist and Broadcaster Sir Peter Scott, is situated in Llanelli on the Burry Inlet, acknowledged as Wales' premier estuary for wildfowl and waders.

WWT Llanelli is the only WWT centre in Wales, it has a resident population of over 1,000 wildfowl from across the world.

The centre recently developed two new projects as part of the Millennium Coastal Park development. The Millennium Discovery Centre, an indoor discovery centre that informs people about the importance and misuse of water and wetlands through imaginative and interactive interpretation, and the Millennium Wetland, the largest wetland habitat creation in the UK. This also includes a swan maze and a water vole city ideal for children.

Whether you're a serious bird watcher, just looking for hours of fun or simply looking for relaxation then WWT Llanelli is the place to visit.
