This comfortable, family run hotel is set in the Upper Tweed Valley 35 miles south of Edinburgh. Reputed to be the oldest licensed inn in Scotland, the Crook has many notable and historic features. The 17th century bar where Robert Burns wrote 'Willie Wastle's Wife' is a real time capsule. In the 1930s the hotel was refurbished in the art deco style and many original features have been retained. Meals both in the bar and the restaurant are prepared to order with as much fresh local ingredients as possible. An ideal base for touring the Borders, hill walking or just relaxing.
