Malmaison likes to style itself as ubercool and we not only agree, we would also add ubersexy. Downstairs in the Malmaison Hotel in Clerkenwell, the Malmaison Brasserie is beautifully chic and contemporary with mood-enhancing downlighting and a lively atmosphere. The menu is modern British, again with the emphasis on modern. Try starter of malmaison eggs benedict, then perhaps something from the grill like grilled whole black bream with preserved lemon and tzatziki with sauce vierge, and pud of banana iced parfait with caramelised banana. The wine list is very strong and the service very good. This is wonderful dating, anniversary, or impressive business entertaining.

Brit Quote:
Somebody said to me, 'But the Beatles were anti-materialistic.' That's a huge myth. John and I literally used to sit down and say, 'Now, let's write a swimming pool.' - Paul McCartney
