The Bird is a 15th century thatched pub with original features and gas fires in the bar and lounge. Adjoining the bar is the snug, a semi-private room with a large round table for larger groups whilst alongside the lounge (in what used to be part of the old cellar) are two alcoves giving a little more privacy and can seat 12 ˆ 15 people. We have a separate restaurant seating over 20 people which also has an alcove with views of Saint Nicholas Church. Situated at the northernmost tip of Warwickshire, surrounded by rural Leicestershire, Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, Austrey is only two miles from the National Forest. An attractive village clustered around a picturesque 14th century church, Austrey has pleasant countryside views and a vibrant village community life.
