Dowfold House Bed & Breakfast is in a quiet location overlooking Crook, with stunning views over Weardale as far as the North Pennines. We welcome business visitors, tourers, cyclists, walkers, dogs and children. People just keep coming back! Crook is an ideal, peaceful, place to stay when visiting the North East of England. The City of Durham is a 20 minute drive away and our Bed & Breakfast accommodation is close to the A68, a major route to and from Scotland. Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and the North East coast are all within easy reach of our accomodation, while Crook acts as a gateway to the Durham Dales (Weardale, Teesdale) and the North Pennines. Our two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom are comfortable and well furnished with double- glazing and central heating. All rooms have TVs, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a lovely view over open countryside. Breakfast is served in the dining room. We pride ourselves on using only the finest produce, many of them local, including free-range eggs. With a wide variety of breakfast dishes there will be something to suit everyone, from the traditional hearty English Breakfast to a lighter start to the day
