In the heart of Mousehole, one of Cornwall's most ancient ports, this comfortable 19th century cottage lies just a few yards from the sheltered sandy harbour (pictured), shops, inns and restaurants. Quietly nestling amidst this quaint fishing village's narrow streets, it makes an ideal base from which to explore the west of Cornwall with its spectacular coastline and Iron Age villages. The bustling town of Penzance (3 miles) and the National Trust's St Michael's Mount (accessed by ferry or causeway) lie to the east, and the Minack open air theatre, Telegraphy Museum and Land's End are about 10 miles west. St Ives is 12 miles.
