Wilberfoss

The village of Wilberfoss lies at the side of the A1079 from York to Hull some 8 miles distant from York. It has grown considerably over the last 30 years and is under constant threat of more development as demand for the country life, yet close to the city, becomes ever more popular.

Amenities available are village store & post office open 7 days a week early to fairly late, high class butcher, hairdresser, garden centre, village pub and a selection of businesses and tradesmen to carry out almost any task required. St. John the Baptist Church serves the spiritual needs of the community, there are pre-school and infant schools in the village and a community centre.

A regular bus service runs through the village seven days a week to/from York The area is predominantly farming and horticulture providing local employment.
