Latest reviews | Events in Holbeton
Holbeton is a picturesque village close to the Erme Estuary in the South Hams in Devon, home to over five hundred and seventy people. The village is peppered with enchanting thatched cottages and narrow streets that captivate artists and photographers unashamedly. Surrounded by stunning countryside with intriguing paths that lead walkers on a voyage of discovery. The 14th Century church of All Saints makes an interesting interlude as the spire soars 150’. Or if architecture of a different kind sounds tempting it has to be The Georgian splendour of Saltram House where fine furniture and paintings are perhaps outshone by the stunning gardens and riverside walks. For a marine adventure why not hire a boat and take to the water at Newton Ferrers, or rest a spell on the sandy beach of Mothecombe, for all things fishy there is the National Marine Aquarium a few miles away which may be one temptation hard to resist. For creatures of a different kind Sorley Tunnel Adventure Farm, has ponies, and many farm animals to meet, the energetic can bounce on the trampolines and the brave can go through the haunted tunnel, or there is always Dartmoor zoological Park where the wild wonders of the animal kingdom are simply magnificent.
