North Cornwall

Stunning Coastline

North Cornwall - Bude Padstow and Bodmin Moor

Come to North Cornwall, one of the most attractive areas of England with 60 miles of dramatic Atlantic Heritage Coastline, wooded river valleys, moorland and fishing coves.

The Atlantic Ocean has banged its fist on this Coastline to produce the highest and most rugged cliffscape in Cornwall , complemented by some of the Country's top beaches for cleanliness, safety and surfing. But, venture inland, deep into Bodmin Moor , scene of Daphne Du Maurier 's Jamaica Inn and you'll witness an abrupt change in the landscape. Remnants of Bronze Age man, his stone circles, mounds, quoits and crosses stand as reminders of times gone by. At Tintagel Castle high on the cliff face, relive the legends of Merlin, Guinnevere and the Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur 's legendary home. Visit Boscastle Harbour, Port Isaac and the splendid seaside resort of Bude with its Canal and unspoilt beaches. The poet and broadcaster Sir John Betjeman loved North Cornwall. Launceston with its Norman Castle was his favourite inland Cornish town, and from his home in Daymer Bay he looked out over his beloved Camel Estuary and of course Padstow , home to the Obby Oss .

Experience the majestic homes of Pencarrow , Lanhydrock and Prideaux Place whilst Wadebridge with its 17 arched bridges reputedly built on woolsacks provides a perfect centre for touring. North Cornwall offers a whole range of good quality, reasonably priced accommodation. There's plenty of opportunity for golf , walking and cycling and there's a host of festivals from Easter to October. Come to North Cornwall now - we're waiting to welcome you.
