Spurtles are at the ready as expert porridge makers from far and wide gather
in Carrbridge to battle it out for the title of World Porridge Making Champion and honour of wining the prestigious Golden Spurtle trophy.
The annual World Porridge Making Championships is followed with interest by
connoisseurs of the traditional national dish across the globe. This celebration of Scottish culture includes a pipe band parade of judges and competitors, the official Toast to the Porridge, meet the official Homecoming Scotland Robert Burns, craft and produce stalls and live music.
