From the Lake District National Park's only coastal village of Ravenglass to the foot of England's highest mountains, small steam engines carry passengers on the oldest narrow gauge railway in the country through seven glorious miles of the most spectacular scenery in the country.

The Railway's hop on, hop off service, with lots of daily trains, is ideal for walking or sightseeing, while the freedom of open, or cosiness of covered, carriages make it a superb all-weather attraction.

Easily accessible by car, Ravenglass is by the side of the main A595 coastal road. Special prices for visitors arriving either by mainline rail or Stagecoach bus.
