South Devon

With excellent transport links this area of South Devon is an explorer’s delight offering the choice of traditional resorts, sandy beaches, thatched roofed villages to market towns. Dartmoor National Park is internationally famous in a magnificent setting.

South Devon has several beaches and coves. One of the best beaches in the South West, Dawlish Warren has been awarded the coveted European Blue Flag Award and Seaside Award Clean Beach status for water quality, cleanliness and management.

Take your pick from longstanding carnivals, jazz, beer, arts and folk festivals, fireworks displays, dance performances, classical and contemporary music, opera, as well as countryside events . There's a variety of visitor attractions, indoor and out, waiting to be discovered.

Choose from mile after mile of stunning beaches to be found at the seaside towns of Dawlish, Teignmouth and Shaldon .

Teignmouth
A top holiday resort it is situated between stunning red sandstone cliffs with sandy beaches that stretch the length of the promenade.

Dawlish
Part Victorian and part Georgian , Dawlish has special charm and character and is the home of the famous black swans.

Newton Abbot
A bustling market town with various open, indoor and farmers markets and a racecourse .

Ashburton
A thriving selection of shops with many art, craft and antique galleries.

Buckfastleigh
On the edge of Dartmoor it is home to some of the South West's top visitor attractions.

Moretonhampstead
Is an ideal base for outdoor activity holidays. It has a thriving crafts community with a number of open studios and galleries.

Bovey Tracey
A pretty cob and Dartmoor-granite built town, situated on the river Bovey , it is home to a number of visitor attractions.
