how well l remember long eaton in 1959 I worked on the market right on the front alf hickman was my boss but also my aunties father we would travel from nottingham to long eaton every market day rain, snow ,freezing,or blowing. my husband myself and our children came to western australia in the late 60s we came back to the uk in 72yes we moved into oakleys farm the slaughter house for the co-op was at the end of our garden the other side was the elastic factory i dont remember its name i think they made under garments we moved back to australia in 74 but still talk of people over there if this should go to print teresa ,kevin,karl,are my ofsprings maybe gail jackson as she was then? and stephen casswell were friends they went to long eaton school
