Yes I took part in the battles in 2005 (sick in '06)and I intend to take part in '07, too. This is the re-enactors favourite venue, because of the incredible atmosphere. It's more like a rock festival from the 60's than a medieval re-enactment. The whole town gets behind the festival, many of them in med costume. Like Glastonbury, when the weather is good it's very very good, but when it's wet its awful - especially for the re-enactors. (Think of all the rusty armour and weapons!) If you haven't been, GO!!! If you've been before, GO AGAIN!! it's an all time blast from beginning to end
