Had the pleasure of eating in this delightfully friendly village pub recently. Had passed it many times and decided to try it out.
The food was all freshly prepared and the homemade Steak and Kidney Pudding was better than my mother used to make!! The staff were quirky and friendly and the landlady (Julia?) made herself known to us on arrival - during our meal and again when we left. A total friendly experience and we hope to visit again soon.

Visited maybe 18 months ago with friends and really loved it, great fresh fish. Was not so impressed this time. Menu wasn't very seasonal or provenant. Wine list was good and decent service but food seriously poor, not a patch on before.

I had not visited the Chicheley Arms for a couple of years or so and decided to have a boy's lunch there with a friend. The Pub was warm and pleasant as was the welcome. The lunch time menu was basic but that was what we were looking for. The service was good as was the food. We both went for the Patti to start which was served with toast and salad garnish. It was delicious. For the main course we had sirlion steak, seasoned fries and salad. Again very good.
I will not wait another two years before the Chester Arms at Chicheley.
