Here we have a traditional country pub, which has a variety of beers on offer, and excellent food. I could not fault the meals we had at all, however the welcome we recieved was virtually none existent, the guy was verging on arrogant / ignorant, he certainly did not make you feel as your custom was appreciated in the slightest, if anything the impression was that it was too much trouble to speak. Apart from mine host being totally unsuited to the job, which we have met up with him on a few occasions and he is always his miserable self, the other complaint this year, is the fact that you can no longer differentiate between customers and staff, all used to where a uniform, however it is now everyday clothes worn by all except the staff that work in the kitchen. In short foods great, beers great, attitudes and helpfulness could be greatly improved.
