I have read the earlier entry with interest, and cannot disagree more strongly with it's sentiments. My husband and I shared a delightful evening at the Butterleigh, where the food was delicious and I cannot compliment the staff and Landlord highly enough. They were attentive to our needs, and checked that we were happy with the both the quality of the food and the service we received. Both of us will return, I am sorry that the previous lady obviously did not enjoy her meal, but hey, that just means we will find it easier to get a booking!

Whilst dining at this pub/restaurant I was graced with the most unacceptable and simply appalling man, whom I was then told was the Landlord. He was rude and lacking in all managing qualities. I simply asked for my steak to be cooked a little more as it was too rare for my taste. I did not think this was an unacceptable request. Although through out the rest of my meal, the glares I recieved from the gentleman are what I can only describe as intimidating. It throroughly ruined my evening. Nevertheless the young ladies who served me were delightful.
