we regularly stop off to eat in this lovely pub on the way down from the midlands to north devon. Delightful atmosphere, good beer and truly superb fish and chips served with a smile! - The only bad part is getting back in the car to continue our journey onwards but it is a wonderful break to our journey

A nice old pub situated in the centre of Rackenford, off road parking, beer garden etc. Very nice internally with flag floors and the pebble run to the toilets is a fine example of the times.
Cottleighs Tawney was served by a gorgeous young lady with big hair and a corker of a smile, followed by fish and chips. Proper chunky chips, beer battered fish, crushed peas and homemade tartare sauce. I couldnt fault it and neither my companion.
