We are difficult customers to please because we love to eat good food and I love to cook. So when we happened across the Horse & Groom whilst house hunting we decided that the village of Oddington would suit us well. The proprietors, Sally and Simon Jackson, are friendly, welcoming folk ever mindful of their customers' enjoyment and have gathered around them a team of professionals in their establishment who manage to consistently produce the quality we appreciate.
The wines are well chosen by Simon who is always keen for you to try before you buy.

Beware, this "pub" considers itself to be a high class restaurant and any passers by just wishing to pop in for a quick pint are most definitely not welcome by the fussy, officious and downright rude owners. Even if the place is empty you will not be permitted to sit down unless you agree to purchase something from their ridiculously overpriced menu. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone

My Husband and I travelled to the Cotswolds from Kent on 11th July - about 165 miles, it was my birthday and having seen the website for the Horse and Groom we decided to stop there for my birthday lunch - we really wish we hadn't. We ordered sirloin steaks both medium rare, they arrived and were very small and thin both undercooked with a small and I mean small salad and chips, no fine green beans as shown on the menu on the website and no garnish, for this we were charged over £19.00 for each, more than for a top class rsstaurant.
I would seriously recommend anyone considering dining at this venue to think again and find an alternative.
I have never been more dissatisfied with a meal and I would never return.
