We stayed at the Ancient Camp Inn for a few days. The accommodation was very comfortable, tastefully furnished and our room had a splendid view of the River Wye. Our hosts made us very welcome and the service was first-rate. All our meals were enjoyable, well-prepared and delicious. In fact, we are looking forward to a return visit.

Lovely setting and building.Food though very pricey and very ordinary and the service was something else! Although we had mentioned that one of us was vegetarian when we booked, and their brochure/website mentions 'a selection of vegetarian dishes' we were informed very brusquely by the owner that there was no vegetarian alternative available. Eventually the chef produced some plain pasta with cheese sauce, which was inedible pap. Veggies avoid at all costs!
